   Ele é um dos artistas de hip hop mais bem-sucedidos da história, em 2007, a Forbes informou que Jay-Z tinha uma fortuna avaliada em U$150 milhões. 

   Jay-Z é o co-proprietário do The 40/40 Club, do clube da NBA New Jersey Nets, e ainda criador da linha de roupas Rocawear e representante da Armadale Vodka. Ele também é ex-CEO da Def Jam Recordings e um dos fundadores da Roc-A-Fella Records e da Roc Nation.

    Ele detém o recorde do maior número de álbuns no nº 1 no Billboard 200 por um artista solo, com 11 albuns.
